From Active Shooter to Zombie Apocalypse: Online Disaster Training Library

There’s a free online disaster training library for emergency planning and disaster response and recovery.

The Just In Time Disaster Training Library provides access to videos and training for individuals, emergency planners, government agencies and organizations online.

The video library is a source of response and recovery training as well as disaster preparedness and mitigation planning created by agencies and organizations in the U.S., Canada and other countries.

The library is organized by four categories:

  • Mitigation
  • Preparedness
  • Response
  • Recovery

Some of the videos are more than five years old, but contain relevant information for families, organizations and businesses as well as public safety and other agencies.

The videos can be viewed from the website, or on YouTube or Vimeo.

Some of the videos may contain graphic content, such as The Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s video “What would you do?” about what to do in the event of an active shooter:
