1. Where did your company name originate from?
In every organization, there seems to be that one person who knows the best way to get things done. Your go-to person. The problem solver. The doer. We wanted our clients to think of us as a part of their extended team, and we wanted to make interacting with our solutions as easy and as inviting as having a chat with your resident asset operations expert. Thus, The Dude was born.
2. What was the inspiration behind starting your company?
Our founders began with a “work better, live better” mentality. We originated with the desire to improve the efficiency, safety and operations of the places we live, work and learn.
3. What is your signature product and how does it work?
In the government landscape, our signature is our maintenance suite. Our maintenance products are corrective and preventive solutions that simplify the entire work order process and make scheduling recurring and preventive maintenance tasks quick and efficient, with the added benefit of GIS mapping capabilities. Clients are able to continue improving their operations over time by instantly pulling data-rich reports around their tracked efforts and assets.
4. Why do you believe your products are essential to your Government community?
Within the government vertical, there’s a consistent lack of time, budget and manpower. Our solutions enable departments to work as efficiently as possible by showing them the reality of the work they’re doing in an organized, consolidated platform that tracks a myriad of efforts. With that data, they’re able to save a considerable amount of time they were using previously for data entry and filling in the gaps from lack of data entry. They’re also able to have clear numbers to present in budgeting conversations, helping them cut unnecessary costs and increase budgets based on data-backed need.
5. What makes your company unique?
We’re a global leader in the enterprise asset management field with an enormous range. Our work has garnered us over 10,000 clients spread across the six verticals we serve.
6. What do your customers like best about you and your products?
Our products make their work tangible. They can see what they’re doing and, therefore, can make it better. This empowers them to make data-driven decisions that save them time and money.
7. What is the most rewarding part of serving the first responder/local government community?
In helping public sector clients, we know we’re not just helping them — we’re also helping the people they help. In enabling local governments to improve their operations, we’re able to have an impact on the communities they serve. Knowing that the effects of what we do are so far-reaching is part of our mission: work better, live better.
8. Is there any fun fact or trivia that you’d like to share with our users about you or your company?
No, we don’t have any Lebowski-themed events .
9. What’s next for your company? Any upcoming new projects or initiatives?
In December 2017, our new maintenance offering for government clients, Asset Essentials, will be available. It’s a product we’re really excited about that we believe will change the game for our clients. Asset Essentials is a cloud-based software with easily integrated GIS capabilities that enables departments to assign and track the progress of all maintenance activities, manage equipment up-time, increase productivity and streamline operations. It’s available across mobile devices, so government workers can run their day just as easily out in the field as they can from their offices.
